After spraining my ankle at the Cliff Walk, my husband and I still went on a sunset cruise we had scheduled. Before returning to the resort I wanted to get a light dinner. We happened upon Nikolas’, and I’m so glad we did. They had beautiful outdoor seating on the sidewalk, which meant I did not have to hop far. The flowers in the window planters were the prettiest we have seen. Outdoor waiter was very nice. He saw my ankle was swollen and got a chair for me to prop it up on. Food was very good. We had spaghetti with meatballs, a Greek salad, and a razor pizza. Thank you, Nikolas, for taking good care of us and making the evening enjoyable!!!

We were looking for a place for lunch and stopped in because there was parking available and it wasn’t I the heart of the city. The staff was super hospitable and the menu included many options. I had a Greek salad for lunch, and my husband opted for mom’s special, which was grilled cheese, tomato and bacon made with wonderful thick bread. We liked the place so much, we returned at dinner time, as staff showed us the dinner menu which included half price specials Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. We ordered house Chianti, fried calamari and each of us had pasta with chicken and sausage sautéed with onion and red pepper in a garlic wine sauce. So yummy! The portions were plentiful, and we had enough for another dinner. The bill for dinner was just under $40 for all that! Regular prices were reasonable as well. We would definitely return if we were in Newport again.

We have been here many times and always enjoy this place- – great italian grinders and wonderful italian food . Portions are more than adequate and garlic bread is great . Small facility with great food. Great specials M,T&W -Owners Chris and Theresa could not have been nicer to us – try Nikolas – you will not be disappointed.

My family and I have had a place in Newport for over 15 years and through it all Nicolai Pizza has been our absolute favorite Italian restaurants out of the dozens that come and go. The food is fresh, creative and delicious, their expanded and renovated dining area quaint and elegant and their staff and owners are so blessed, sweet and attentive. They still love what they do and passed it on.
Our favorite order is still the vegetarian pizzas with their deliciously marinated peppers, so much flavor yummmmm.

We stumbled across this gem during our stay in Newport when looking for dinner. Pizza was fantastic and service was amazing. You can tell this was family owned as the hostess as well as the waitress were very attentive. We were able to sit outside as well as it was a warm Memorial Day weekend night.

Nikolas is the best in Newport.

Everyone needs to try the “Two Bro’s Pie” – Calamari, meatball and pepperoncini Ask Mark all about it. #surfandturf

Awesome flavors balanced well with Nikolas Staff members and a nice cold beer!
